Located in the heart of Kitchener, peopleCare AR Goudie Long-Term Care has proudly served the community for generations. Originally established in 1962, the home honours the legacy of the Goudie family, and local businessman Arthur Goudie, whose generous donation helped make the original home possible.
Following the completion of a new 128-bed addition in 2025, AR Goudie is now home to 208 residents in bright, modern living spaces designed for comfort, connection, and quality care.
Residents can choose between private and basic accommodation in decorated, furnished rooms and are warmly encouraged to personalize their space with favourite belongings and small furniture that fits comfortably in the room.
The home includes welcoming resident home areas, spacious lounges for visiting with family and friends, and inviting gathering spaces that support recreation, social activities, and everyday life. Terraces and a beautiful enclosed courtyard offer safe outdoor areas for relaxation. There are plenty of opportunities for connection, engagement and enjoyment through both small and large group activities.
As part of the peopleCare family, AR Goudie is committed to creating a vibrant and caring community where residents feel at home, families feel welcomed, and every day is focused on supporting meaningful, life-enriching experiences.
