Holiday Message 2021
As 2021 comes to a close, we are enormously grateful to have measures such as vaccines and boosters, rapid testing, active screening and personal protective equipment at our fingertips. With these critical safeguards in place, we are focused on making sure our residents are enjoying a festive and joyous holiday season, in safe and happy Homes.
We would like to take a moment to thank our residents, staff, families and partners. Once again during this year of uncertainty we’ve come together as one strong peopleCare community, to create and celebrate as many heartfelt moments as possible – these meaningful moments are what truly matters.
Our remarkable staff continue to inspire us with their resiliency and spirit. They show up in our Homes with a compassionate heart and purpose to make life better for those in their care. While we recently acknowledged our teams for their care, respect and kindness, during Values Awards Week, we could never say thank you enough.
peopleCare is supporting over 1,100 designated family caregivers and other cherished visitors to spend time with their loved one(s) in our Homes. Families are essential care partners: their friendly smiles, shared memories and caring approach adds a warmth that helps make our Homes welcoming places for everyone who lives and works there.
The ongoing support of our partners and communities is always a bright spot for our residents and teams, from organizing onsite and community vaccination clinics, to collaborating on engaging new programs for residents and lifting spirits with handmade cards, gifts and other tokens of appreciation. Thank you most sincerely.
We would also like to say a special thank you to all of the dedicated people who will be working in long-term care and across the health system over the next few weeks to make sure that others receive the care and supports they need.
