May 14, 2026

For the thirteenth straight year, peopleCare has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, once again earning the prestigious Platinum designation. This recognition reflects the strength of the talented teams across peopleCare who are accelerating innovation, driving impact and helping shape a future without limits for senior living.

“This achievement really speaks to the extraordinary leaders across peopleCare who bring our vision to life every day,” says Chairman and CEO Brent Gingerich. “As we continue growing and transforming, our people are building a culture grounded in excellence, accountability, innovation and compassion. Their commitment to people, purpose and high performance is helping us change the world of senior living.”

peopleCare is on an ambitious and exciting path of growth and transformation, and will triple in size in the next several years as we build and open new long-term care (LTC) homes in communities where care and housing are urgently needed.

We believe growth starts with our people and is driven by strong leadership, a clear vision and a commitment to residents, families and team members and our focus remains on empowering teams at every level to lead with confidence, inspire positive change and create vibrant communities alive with purpose and passion.

Leadership, collaboration and people-first values also continue to shape our organization and culture. In our most recent employee survey, 94% of employees said they would recommend working at peopleCare. One leader noted, “It’s great to work for an organization that cares about its employees’ health and wellbeing and encourages us to share our strengths so we continue giving our best to our residents, colleagues and families.”

“peopleCare’s leaders are creating environments where people feel empowered to contribute, grow and lead with impact,” says President Megan Allen-Lamb. “Their passion and commitment to transforming experiences is helping us build stronger teams, vibrant communities and better outcomes for the people we serve. Together, we are creating a future where innovation and purpose go hand-in-hand.”

Over the past year, peopleCare continued innovating across our organization, including transforming experiences through the Butterfly Approach™ to emotion-based care, delivering breakthrough results in an AI wound care technology pilot and supporting privacy and dignity for residents by opening clinic Wellness Centres in our LTC homes. We also brought more care, housing and jobs to Ontario communities through our developments, all while continuing our decades-long commitment to Accreditation and operational excellence.

peopleCare is proud to be recognized as a 2026 Best Managed Company, reflecting our commitment to strategic and intentional growth, innovation and exceptional service. This year’s honourees are distinguished by their focus on people development, operational resilience, digital transformation and creating strong relationships within the communities they serve.

We sincerely thank Deloitte and its partners for recognizing leading organizations like peopleCare that strive to exceed expectations while making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
