2023 Golf Tournament a resounding success
This week, close to 150 partners, friends and family joined the peopleCare team for a fabulous day on the links at our 2023 golf tournament in support of MEDA. Held at the beautiful Rebel Creek Golf Course in Petersburg, the event was a resounding success, with proceeds from the day taking us well over the top of our fundraising goal.
With MEDA able to amplify all donations by 5 – 7 times (with support from government and charitable foundations) our collective efforts are an absolute game-changer for countless lives that will be touched by MEDA’s work to empower entrepreneurs and alleviate poverty in developing countries.
And let’s not forget the fun we had on the greens! A full roster of enthusiastic golfers headed out to enjoy 18 rounds, with friendly competitions at select holes along the way. The rain even held off (for the most part !). Prizes included:
- Putting contest: T. Forsyth, BDO
- Closest to the pin men: B. Gingerich, peopleCare
- Closest to the pin women: J. Hiller, Josslin Insurance
- Longest drive men: V. Visconti, NSI Distribution
- Longest drive women: H. Price, GSP Group
- Lowest scoring team: AgeWise
- Most honest team: Sysco Canada
All followed by a delicious meal and a huge, heartfelt thank you from peopleCare Chairman and CEO Brent Gingerich and MEDA President and CEO Dr. Dorothy Nyambi. We hope you enjoyed every swing, laugh and networking moment as much as we did.
